Starting Monday Feb. 8, 2010
Hampshire Hills' members and staff will be participating in a clothing drive for victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Since Valentines Day falls right in the middle of our two week collection time frame, the slogan "Hampshire Hills Has a Heart for Haiti" resonates not only with alliteration but more importantly with love of neighbor.
We hope you may be able to participate.
Lightweight used clothing for women, men, children and infants is of significant need.
Time Frame
Monday 2/8 through Noon on Friday 2/19. Clothing should be in tied up garbage bags. If you can label the bag "Clothing" that is a big help.
Drop off
There will be a black trailer parked where the bike rack normally is just to the left of the intersection in front of the club. There will be signage directing you to put your bags directly into the trailer if the doors are open or right next to it if the doors are closed; Please do not drop off bags at the front desk. Your items of clothing will be transported to Nashua where the group "Hollis Helps Haiti" has a large container truck that will transport the goods to Florida for shipment to Haiti.
Once again - we can only accept lightweight used clothing.
Thank you in advance for anything you are able to do.
