Wellness Education

Hampshire Hills recognizes that there is more to good health than just exercise. Through Hampshire Hills Wellness Education programming we are committed to improving total quality of life by offering diverse health related information including nutritional counseling, smoking cessation, safety training, seminars on the latest health topics and massage therapy courses.

CPR /AED
This important American Heart Association and American Red Cross, 8-hour course runs annually on Monday/ Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. Certifications awarded in adult/child/infant CPR upon completion. For more information contact Jeff Cushman at (603) 673-7123, ext. 267.

First Aid

Babysitter Course
This American Red Cross Course is for young adults ages 11-1 5 who are interested in caring for young children. Learn safety, accident prevention, basic first aid, age appropriate games and more. Participants meet once a week for 4 weeks. For more information contact Rachel Robichaud (603) 673-7123, ext. 272.

Strength for Seniors
A certified personal trainer will offer a six week program of strength training for older adults. Participants will learn about the key components of an effective strength training program including proper training frequency, training sets, exercise resistance, exercise repetitions, training progression and exercise selection.
